Subject: Funny funny book
I first read this hysterically funny book many decades ago and have, in the intervening years lost two copies of it to "borrowers." I reread it at least once every two years.

Eleanor Lothrop recounts her adventures as the wife of a Central and South American archaeologist with great wit and humor. This all occurred back in the days when archaeology field trips were even more likely to produce unexpected experiences than they are today.
